Mr. Jean Henri D. Lhuillier is the president of Cintrée Management Services Incorporated, a management services company providing human resource, information technology, legal, finance, operations, marketing, and administrative management services to the P.J. Lhuillier Group of Companies. He manages the Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop Companies (P.J. Lhuillier, Inc., Pawnsafe Services Corp. and Pawncare Services, Inc.), the largest pawnbrokering chain in the Philippines with over 900 branches. The pawnshop branches service the needs of 30,000 customers daily, and employ about 3,500 people. Aside from pawning service, the Cebuana Lhuillier pawnshops also offer local money transfer services with its Pera Padala and international money transfers through its tie-ups with Moneygram and Travelex, micro-insurance with its AllCare products, cellphone reloading, utility bills payment, among others. He concurrently holds various positions in Cebuana Lhuillier Rural Bank, P & EL Realty and Development Corp., Just Jewels, Le Soleil de Boracay Resort, Global Restaurant Concepts (franchise holder of California Pizza Kitchen - Philippines), Exterieur Resources, and the Group’s socio-civic charity arm, the PJL Foundation, Inc.

In 2000, Mr. Lhuillier was the recipient of the Pearl Award in the 3rd Aurelio Periquet, Jr. Business Leadership Awards. The Aurelio Periquet, Jr. Business Leadership Awards are given to one senior business leader (Pillar awardee) and one junior business achiever (Pearl awardee). These awardees are individuals who are actively involved in a Philippine-based profit organization, and have shown outstanding business leadership but have never compromised the integrity and principles of the business organization. In 2006, Mr. Lhuillier was honored with the CEO EXCEL Award (Communication Excellence in Organizations) by the International Association of Business Communicators. The CEO EXCEL Awards is the most prestigious recognition given to Philippine-based CEOs, presidents or top-level executives of 12 industry categories who have shown outstanding communications skills.

In between managing a business that is into pawn brokering, money transfer, financing, jewellery, hotel resort management, insurance, retail, business process outsourcing, among others, Mr. Lhuillier is an avid sports aficionado. Close to his heart is sports development for the country. Believing that the private sector has a significant role to play in this vision, his companies, bannered by the Cebuana Lhuillier brand, have been at the forefront of various sports programs.  He managed the Philippine Men’s National Basketball team for several years, and during his tenure, the team won a gold medal in the 2003 Southeast Asian Games. He has been the team manager of the Philippine Men’s and Women’s softball teams and the Philippine Tennis since 2005. Both softball teams won the gold medal in the 2005 and 2007 Southeast Asian Games, while the tennis team won the gold medal in the team (2005), men’s singles (2005 and 2007), and mixed doubles (2005) events.

As a way of giving back to the community, Mr. Lhuillier supports various socio-civic activities through the PJL Foundation. One of the key projects of the Foundation is providing college scholarships to deserving individuals. In addition to scholarship grants, the Foundation also supports several day care centres through a feeding program for indigent children who go to grade school. The Foundation also assists local communities during calamities through relief operations.
